Choose the Right Cruise Job for You

Okay, now let’s jump onto choosing right Job on a Cruise Ship for you and get started properly for it! I’m going to give you quick and easy step-by-step plan that will help get you hired in the shortest time. There is nothing complicated about these ideas, tips and strategies. In fact, it’s all mostly common sense. But it is important that you take your time to read this through properly and then consider how you can put these ideas into action.

Remember, if you plan and prepare properly then you’ll be ahead of 90% of the competition right away.

The First Step: The first is an obvious and basic step. You can’t do anything until you decide exactly which job/s it is that you would like to do on-board.

This step is vital. You cannot and should not apply to a cruise line company asking for 'any job' on board. This is a major mistake that so many job seekers make, and doing so ensures that their application gets trashed immediately. You've got to know exactly the types of positions you want to do so that:

  1. You can tell the cruise employer immediately which job/s you’re applying for. If they don’t know instantly which position you’re applying for then your application will be trashed. Believe me, a cruise line employer does not have the time to look at resumes and then match them to the right position. You’ve got to do that for them!
  2. You can target your application to the specific job/s you’re applying for. This is a simple process of matching your skills, experience and knowledge to each position, to make you appear perfectly suited to the job. Very powerful and we’ll discuss this more later.

Here is a list of some Jobs on a Cruise Ship which you can apply for. For your convenience, I have broken down them into departments:

  1. There are a large variety of jobs on cruise ships and at cruise line corporate offices.

The great news is that there is a good chance that a job that you have had in the past will give you enough experience to perform a number of the jobs on-board a cruise ship. Some examples include: previous jobs at hotels, restaurants, bars, night clubs, libraries, gift stores, boutiques, grocery stores, convenience stores, health clubs, beauty salons, museums, coffee shops, and just about any hospitality related job.
